Upper Lehman Creek Campground sits at 7,500 feet elevation within a forest of pinyon, ponderosa pine, white fir, and aspen along the banks of Lehman Creek. Located three miles up the Wheeler Peak Scenic Drive in Great Basin National Park, the campground offers paved parking spurs, picnic tables, campfire rings with grills, vault toilets, and a viewing platform over the trout-filled creek. It places visitors ten minutes from Lehman Caves and close to alpine trailheads in the Snake Range.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Overhead clearance here is posted at 8 ft -- the tightest site sets the limit. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.

Doso Doyabi stands 5,129 ft above the site, 3.1 miles southwest. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a 23-site campground. Most of them shaded. The nearest town, Ely, is 38 mi off.

September normals 4872°F, 1.3″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
