Las Vegas Bay Campground sits on the western edge of Lake Mead National Recreation Area, just minutes from Las Vegas. The site is characterized by dense shade provided by a mix of mature cottonwood trees, palm trees, oleanders, and native desert brush, which also offers natural separation between individual campsites. Local desert wildlife commonly seen around the vegetation includes lizards, antelope squirrels, coyotes, and various bird species.
Getting there: Located just minutes from Las Vegas off Lakeshore Road near Henderson, NV. Take Lake Mead Parkway east to the entrance. Follow the road about 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Las Vegas Bay access road and take your first left onto Las Vegas Bay Campground Road. You will arrive at the campground in approximately one mile.
