Setting
Kyle Canyon Picnic Area is a year-round day-use site located in an open forest of ponderosa pine, mountain mahogany, and Gambel oak within the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area. Surrounded by towering canyon walls and bordered by a seasonal stream, the facility features single and double picnic sites equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, and grills, including four accessible sites. Facilities include paved roads, paved parking spurs, flush toilets, and drinking water. The 1.5-mile Acastus Trail passes directly through the area, and the 1.6-mile Fletcher Canyon Trail begins nearby.
Getting there: From Las Vegas, Nevada, travel north on Highway 95 to the junction of Highway 157/Kyle Canyon. Turn left and travel approximately 18 miles. The picnic area is on the left side of the highway.
