Campground details
Setting
San Antonio Campground sits at 7,600 feet in the ponderosa pine forest of Santa Fe National Forest, right along the San Antonio River. Rebuilt in 2010 as a reduced-impact facility, it offers 20 paved standard sites suitable for tents, trailers, and RVs, plus a group pavilion area with nine tent sites. Sites 1 through 6 include water and electric hookups. Amenities feature drinking water, vault toilets, picnic tables, pedestal grills, and recycling bins. A paved river trail provides easy fishing access for rainbow trout. Spence Hot Spring and Battleship Rock trailheads are nearby.
Getting there: From Jemez Springs, New Mexico, travel 9 miles north on New Mexico State Road 4 and along the Jemez Mountain Trail National Scenic Byway, then take New Mexico State Road 126 for 2 miles to campground.
