Climbs 7,300 ft over 44.7 miles through 28 switchbacks, with sustained grades near 12% and pitches to 78%. Stretches run along a shelf with a drop of up to ~220 ft on the downhill side. Dead-end road with no mapped turnaround, so expect to back out or unhitch. Gates 16.7, 16.7, 27.8 and 34.1 miles in. Cattle guards 17.1, 20, 31.8, 35.3 and 40 miles in.
