Setting
Holy Ghost Campground sits in Holy Ghost Canyon in the Santa Fe National Forest, bordered by Holy Ghost Creek. The facility offers one private group site for up to 40 people with a vault toilet, bear-proof trash bins, a covered pavilion, picnic tables, a large grill, and a fire pit, alongside first-come, first-served main sites. No hookups or drinking water are provided. Holy Ghost Trail #283 starts at the site, connecting to the Winsor Trail and the Pecos Wilderness network. The town of Pecos is 22 miles south, and Pecos National Historical Park is 50 minutes away.
Getting there: From Santa Fe, take I-25 east approximately 18 miles to the Glorieta/Pecos Exit. Take NM Highway 50 to Pecos, approximately 5 miles. At the 4-way stop, turn left onto NM Highway 63 and travel approximately 14 miles north to Forest Road 122. Take Forest Road 122 approximately 4 miles to the campground. The group campground is located behind the locked gate at the very end of the campground.
