Slide Group Area sits at an elevation of 9,000 feet on the rim of the Sacramento Mountains, two miles from Cloudcroft. Surrounded by evergreen and aspen forests, the group campsite accommodates up to 90 visitors and features an open meadow along with parking for roughly 12 trailers or 50 cars. The site backs directly into the multi-use Rim Trail, offering access for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and motorized travel. Local attractions include the Sunspot Scenic Byway, Sunspot Museum, and White Sands National Monument.
