Gomez Peak Large Group Area is a day-use facility set in a ponderosa pine and pinyon-juniper landscape with direct views of Gomez Peak and Eighty Mountain. Located in the Little Walnut area near Silver City, it accommodates groups of up to 200 people with 50 parking spaces. Facilities include a covered pavilion with 12 picnic tables, pedestal BBQ grills, vault toilets, drinking water, trash cans, horseshoe pits, and a sand volleyball court. The Gomez Peak/Little Walnut Trail System starts right from the pavilion, giving hikers and mountain bikers immediate access to loop trails.
