Set beneath cliffs along the West Fork of the Gila River, this location is divided into two areas: an upper section designated for overnight camping and a lower day-use area along the river. Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument sits 15 miles to the north.
All 0.7 miles in are maintained for passenger cars. Graded dirt the whole way in (0.7 miles).
West Fork Gila River runs 0.1 mi off. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off. Copperas Peak stands 2,235 ft above the site, 4.9 miles south. The nearest town, Little Walnut Village, is 25 mi off.
