Setting
Pinon Campground is a forested facility in Gila National Forest offering a mix of individual campsites and reservable group sites suitable for both tent and RV camping. On-site amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, grills, and vault toilets. Located across from Juniper Campground, the park sits less than two miles from Quemado Lake and its public boat ramp. Visitors head to the lake and surrounding forest trails for trout fishing, boating, and hiking. Additional camping facilities like El Caso and Juniper Campgrounds are situated nearby.
Getting there: The campground is located 14.2 miles south of Quemado. Take NM 32 south to Quemado Lake/NM 103 sign. Turn left onto NM 103 and drive 4 miles to Quemado Lake/Forest Road 13. NM103 ends when the paved road turns to gravel. The gravel road is an indication that you are now driving on Forest Road 13.
