Edward MacDowell Lake is a 165-acre day-use park set in the rolling, forested hills of southern New Hampshire's Monadnock Region. The park features a boat ramp, a car-top launch, a swimming beach, a playground, volleyball court, and horseshoe pits. On-site facilities include two picnic shelters, grills, flush toilets, and drinking water. Visitors can hike the West Ridge Trail through surrounding forest and wetlands or fish the lake for bass, pickerel, and perch. A nearby ranger station provides educational exhibits and runs a Junior Ranger program for kids.
