Campground details
Setting
Set into a hardwood hillside inside the White Mountain National Forest, Russell Pond Campground surrounds a 40-acre spring-fed pond. Its 84 sites accommodate both tents and large RVs, offering drinking water spigots, flush toilets, coin-operated hot showers, and a summer amphitheater. The pond features a boat ramp, dock, and swim beach strictly reserved for non-motorized craft and trout fishing. Hikers can access local forest trails directly on site or drive six miles to the Kancamagus Scenic Byway.
Getting there: Located off Exit 31 (Tripoli Rd) off I-93. Head east on Tripoli Road; campground entrance on north side of road. Follow road 2 miles to campground (and a little slice of heaven).
