Framed by mixed hardwoods, spruce, and pine, the facility sits along the Peabody River and Culhane Brook. It consists of a single loop offering large, open group sites for both tents and RVs, supported by drinking water and restrooms. Open year-round for primitive winter camping, the site serves as a trail hub with direct access to the Daniel Webster Scout Trail leading into the Great Gulf Wilderness.
