Methodist Cove Park sits on the forested western shore of Harlan County Lake, a 13,000-acre reservoir in the Republican River Valley. The park contains 133 campsites offering individual, group, electric, and non-electric options, alongside a reservable group picnic shelter. On-site facilities include a central heated shower house with flush toilets, vault toilets, a dump station, drinking water, a playground, a boat ramp, and a fish cleaning station with running water. A network of hiking trails runs near the park, while full-service marinas operate on the lake's east end.
Getting there: From U.S. Highway 80, take Highway 183 south to Alma, Nebraska. Turn left on South Street and travel 2.5 miles. The park entrance is on south side of the road.
