Located four miles from the North Unit entrance of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, this group site accommodates 7 to 60 people and up to 20 vehicles. Set in a wooded bottomland of cottonwood trees along the Little Missouri River, the facility offers toilets, drinking water, picnic tables, and an RV dump station, but no hookups. Campers have direct access to the 17.7-mile Achenbach Trail and the 1.1-mile Little Mo self-guided nature trail. The 1.03-million-acre Little Missouri National Grassland and Watford City are 15 miles north.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Sits on broad, near-level ground.
Little Missouri River runs 0.2 mi off. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a single-site campground. A group campground -- most of them shaded. Night skies measure Bortle 2 -- true dark-sky territory. The nearest town, Watford City, is 15 mi off.
