Established in 1934, the park features infrastructure built by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression, including bridges, footpaths, and the historic CCC Memorial Picnic Shelter. Amenities include camping and day-use areas. Visitors can enjoy cross-country skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and fishing along the river corridor. Historic stone and log buildings from the CCC era remain on site.
