Sycamore Flats Picnic Shelter lies along a bend of the Davidson River, shaded by hardwood forest, sycamore trees, and rhododendron. The day-use grounds feature 40 individual picnic tables with grills, an open playing field, two restrooms, and an accessible fishing pier. The reservable shelter includes four picnic tables and a grill. Located 1.5 miles from the Pisgah Visitor Center, the site provides immediate access to the river for swimming, tubing, and trout fishing, with extensive hiking and biking trails nearby.
