Cove Creek Upper Group Camp sits in a forested section of Pisgah National Forest adjacent to Cove Creek and the Davidson River. Capable of accommodating groups up to 60 people, the shaded campground provides space for tents and RVs alongside picnic tables, grills, campfire rings, vault toilets, and drinking water. The surrounding Appalachian landscape features mile-high peaks, local trout streams, and direct access to mountain biking and hiking trails that lead to nearby waterfalls.
Getting there: From the Asheville airport, take Highway 280 west to the U.S. Highway 64/280/276 intersection at Pisgah National Forest. Turn north onto U.S. Highway 276. Go 4.5 miles to Forest Road 475A and turn left. Travel on 475A for 3 miles to the campground on the right.
