Canebrake Horse Camp sits near Badin Lake in the Uwharrie National Forest, tailored for equestrian camping. Single and double shaded sites across two loops feature electric hookups, picnic tables, grills, campfire rings, and lantern posts. On-site amenities include a horse wash station, hitching racks, tack tables, trailer parking, drinking water, flush toilets, showers, and a dump station. The Home Trail connects directly to 40 miles of forested equestrian paths. Badin Lake provides swimming, boating, and fishing nearby.

Getting there: The address is 616 McLeans Creek Road, Troy, NC 27371. From Troy, North Carolina, take State Highway 109 north for approximately 10 miles. Turn left onto Mullinix Road (State Highway 1154) and travel approximately 1.5 miles to a stop sign and "T" intersection. Turn right, and travel about 0.25 mile to the campground on the right.
