Campground details
Setting
Badin Lake Campground sits in a shaded forest of pines and hardwoods along the shore of Badin Lake in Uwharrie National Forest. The campground features two non-electric loops with tent pads, tables, grills, lantern posts, campfire rings, drinking water, flush toilets, and showers. Some campsites sit directly on the waterfront. A boat ramp is located two miles away for lake fishing and boating, while 40 miles of non-motorized trails and 17 miles of motorized trails run through the surrounding recreation area. No dump station is available on-site.
Getting there: From Troy, North Carolina, take State Highway 109 north for approximately 10 miles. Turn left onto Mullinix Road (County Highway 1154), and travel approximately 1.5 miles to a stop sign and "T" intersection. Turn right, and go approximately 2 miles to another stop sign and "T" intersection. Turn right, then make a quick left and travel about 1 mile to the campground.
