Setting
Cedar Point Campground perches where the White Oak River meets Bogue Sound, surrounded by coastal salt marshes and pine forest in Croatan National Forest. The 36 accessible sites feature full electrical hookups (20/30/50 amp), supported by a modern bathhouse with hot showers, flush toilets, a dump station, and drinking water. Campers can launch light-draft craft from the boat ramp, hike the 1.9-mile Tidelands National Trail to spot ospreys and dolphins, or travel two miles to the barrier island beaches of Bogue Banks.
Getting there: Take VFW Road off NC 58 approximately 1.25 miles north of the junction of NC 24 and NC 58. Follow signs to the campground on VFW Road.
