Thompson Falls State Park spans 36 acres of mature mixed pine forest at 2,362 feet elevation on the Clark Fork River in the Clark Fork Valley. The campground contains 18 sites accommodating up to 30-foot trailers, with seasonal electricity (April-October) and potable water (May-September). Amenities include vault toilets, bear-resistant storage lockers, fire pits, a recently improved family fishing pond with accessible pier, boat launch, picnic shelter, and a camp host. A recently expanded non-motorized Thompson Falls Trail runs along the river and connects to town via Highway 200, offering extended hiking beyond the campground.
