Distinctive granite cliffs draped with colorful green, yellow, and orange lichen overlook Painted Rocks Reservoir on the West Fork of the Bitterroot River. The 23-acre park in southwestern Montana's Bitterroot Valley offers camping, picnic areas, boating, canoeing, fishing, and swimming. Diverse wildlife including elk, deer, black bears, and reintroduced bighorn sheep inhabit the surrounding Bitterroot Mountains.
