Built in 1927 in the Absaroka Mountains at 5,750 feet, Mill Creek Cabin sits between a evergreen stand and Mill Creek. The log structure sleeps up to four on bunk beds with mattresses, offering a wood stove, electric lights, an electric range, and seasonal water (mid-June to mid-September). Outside, amenities include a porch picnic table, campfire ring, vault toilet, and a four-horse corral with a summer water trough. Trailheads lead into the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness for hiking and fishing, while ski and snowmobile trails operate nearby in winter.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.
Knowles Peak stands 2,423 ft above the site, 1.1 miles north. Cabins and shelters rather than pads -- most of them shaded. Jomaha Creek runs 0.9 mi off. The nearest town, Pray, is 10 mi off.
