A 37.9-mile stretch of gravel National Forest road in Missoula County, MT. The road is open seasonally, June 16 to October 14.

15.4 of the 37.9 miles in are maintained only for high-clearance vehicles. Mostly gravel, with 15.4 miles of dirt. Stretches run along a shelf with a drop of up to ~150 ft on the downhill side. Little level ground alongside -- few of the stretches measured have a flat spot to pull onto. Winds through 40 switchbacks. Dead-end road -- no mapped turnaround; expect to back out or unhitch.

Beecher Creek runs 1.2 mi off. Horsehead Peak stands 1,646 ft above the site, 3.3 miles southeast. The nearest town, Plains, is 20 mi off.
