Salmon Lake sits between the Mission and Swan Mountain Ranges at 3,917 feet elevation, offering 24 campsites in a woodland setting of western larch, ponderosa pine, and Douglas-fir. The 42-acre lake supports fishing for rainbow, cutthroat, brown, brook, and bull trout, plus bass and whitefish, with abundant wildlife including bald eagles, osprey, and loons. On-site amenities include a boat launch, electrical hookups for RVs, flush and vault toilets, shower facilities, potable water (May-September), grills, and bear-resistant food storage. A dedicated hike-bike site accommodates tent camping for up to 10 people. Recreation spans fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and water skiing depending on season.
