Quartz Flat Campground sits above the Clark Fork River, shaded by pine trees 45 minutes west of Missoula. The paved facility features three loops with 78 total campsites, including six pull-through sites in Loop A built for rigs over 35 feet. Amenities include drinking water, vault and flush toilets, trash collection, dump stations, picnic tables, fire rings, and a short self-guided nature trail. River access and the Alberton Gorge launch sites are located nearby.

All 2.6 miles in are fully maintained. Paved the whole way in (2.6 miles). Sits on broad, near-level ground.

Crowded here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a 79-site campground. A river runs 0.3 mi off. Miller Mountain stands 2,501 ft above the site, 3.0 miles east. Night skies measure Bortle 4 -- a rural sky with a glow on the horizon. Most of them shaded. The nearest town, Frenchtown, is 25 mi off.
