Setting
South Dickey Lake is a day-use group picnic area situated on the shores of 800-acre Dickey Lake in northwestern Montana, surrounded by larch and fir trees at an elevation of 3,100 feet. The site features five day-use picnic areas and a grassy lawn sloping down to a public swimming beach. Facilities include a reservable group site for up to 50 people with two tables, campfire rings with grills, accessible vault toilets, and potable drinking water. The lake provides access for boating, water skiing, and fishing for salmon and trout. Overnight camping is not permitted.
Getting there: From Eureka travel South on Hwy 93 for approximately 20 miles. Take a left on Lake Shore road 3788 and follow for 2 miles to the day use site.
