Cave Point Group Use Shelter sits at the northern tip of Canyon Ferry Reservoir, positioned in an open valley between the Big Belt and Elkhorn mountain ranges. The site features a 30x36-foot covered shelter equipped with six picnic tables and an accessible vault toilet, designed to accommodate groups up to 50 people. Entry to the shelter is shared via an access road running through Kim's Marina. The location provides direct shoreline access to the reservoir for boating, paddling, and fishing.
Getting there: If heading north along MT highway 12/287 from Townsend, MT, turn right onto Spokane Creek Rd. Follow Spokane Creek Rd for 4.6 miles and turn right onto Co Rd 430/Canyon Ferry Rd and continue 16 miles to Kim's Marina. Turn right into Kim's Marina and continue straight to Cave Point. If heading east along Co Rd 430/Canyon Ferry Rd from Helena, MT, continue for 16 miles to Kim's Marina. Turn right into Kim's Marina and continue straight to Cave Point.
