Spire Rock Campground in MT -- Campground & RV Camping

Spire Rock Campground occupies Gallatin Canyon at 5,600 feet elevation, 26 miles south of Bozeman, Montana. Seventeen campsites (including one group area) feature vault toilets and picnic tables. No drinking water. Single sites cost $26 per night (includes two vehicles); $9 for each additional vehicle. Group camping costs $50 nightly. The campground operates May 16 through September 30. Storm Castle Creek runs adjacent. Nearby hiking includes Storm Castle Trail (3 miles, steep) and Garnet Mountain Lookout. Located on the Bozeman Ranger District of Gallatin National Forest.

Getting there: From Bozeman, travel south on Highway 191 for 23 miles to the Storm Castle turnoff. Turn left and go 3 miles to the campground. The last 3 miles are on a gravel road. From West Yellowstone, go 66 miles north on Highway 191 to the Storm Castle turnoff. Turn right at the intersection after the bridge and continue 3 miles to the campground.
