Setting
Battle Ridge Cabin sits in a meadow at the foot of the Bridger Mountains, north of Bozeman near 9,004-foot Ross Peak. Built in 1938, this wheelchair-accessible log shelter accommodates four to five people using two bunk beds with mattresses and a cot. Amenities inside include a wood cook stove, a propane lantern, and a table with chairs, while a campfire ring and vault toilet sit outside. A mountain spring flows 500 yards away but requires treatment. Guests must bring their own bedding, dishes, extra propane, and garbage bags to haul out all trash.
- Moderately separated here.
- Flat ground is scarce: under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.
- Naya Nuki Peak stands 3,440 ft above the map pin, 3.6 miles west.
- Cabins and shelters rather than pads.
- Middle Fork Brackett Creek runs 1.1 mi off.
