Situated in a dense forest at the southern tip of Lake McDonald, Apgar is the largest campground in Glacier National Park. The site features group options, flush toilets, drinking water, picnic tables, fire rings, and an amphitheater. A short stroll leads to the lake for boating and fishing, while the paved Apgar Bike Path and nearby Apgar Lookout Trail offer easy trail access. Apgar Village is minutes away with stores and a visitor center, and the scenic Going-to-the-Sun Road passes right by the facility.

Getting there: Apgar group sites are located 1 mile (.3 km) northeast of the west entrance near West Glacier, Montana. Access is from U.S. Highway 2, approximately 32 miles (10km) northeast of Kalispell, Montana.
