Setting
Greenough Lake Campground sits on the banks of Rock Creek beneath the Beartooth Range, surrounded by an aspen and pine forest. The site features single-family campsites equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings, supported by accessible vault toilets and hand-pumped drinking water. Located a quarter-mile walk from 5-acre Greenough Lake, visitors have quick access to canoeing, kayaking, and rainbow trout fishing. The Parkside National Recreation Trail and Beartooth Wilderness trailheads are nearby, with Yellowstone's northeast entrance 55 miles south via the Beartooth Highway.
Getting there: From U.S. Highway 212, turn off at Rock Creek Road (Forest Road 2421). Go 1 mile to campground entrance, which is on the left.
