Setting
White Earth Campground sits on the shore of Canyon Ferry Reservoir in an open valley framed by the Big Belt and Elkhorn mountains. The main facility includes 36 designated campsites, a boat ramp, trailer parking, vault toilets, potable water, and trash services. Located within the complex, the White Earth Group Use Shelter features a covered 30x44-foot pavilion with electrical power, eight picnic tables, five adjacent campsites, and an accessible vault toilet. The location offers direct access to the water for motorboating, paddling, and fishing.
Getting there: Heading north along MT highway 12/287 from Townsend. Drive north to the town of Winston, MT, and turn right onto Beaver Creek Road and follow the road 5.5 miles to the campground.
