Setting
Chickasaw Hill Campground sits along the banks of the 16,000-acre Enid Lake in northern Mississippi, surrounded by pine and hardwood forest. The facility features 53 campsites with full hookups, flush toilets, a playground, picnic shelters with tables and grills, and an interpretive trail. Direct water access is provided via onsite boat ramps. Hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails run along the lakeshore and surrounding landscape. Known for world-record crappie, the lake hosts annual fishing tournaments and also supports populations of bass and catfish.
Getting there: From I-55, take exit 233 and head east on CR 36/Enid Dam Road. At the Enid Lake Field Office turn north onto Chapel Hill Road and continue for 3 miles. Turn east on Pope Water Valley Road, and after 7 miles turn south on Chickasaw Road and continue into the campground.
