Hurricane Landing is located on the eastern end of Sardis Lake's southern shore, shaded by native Osage Orange trees. The facility features a 15-site campground, a 100-person picnic pavilion, a small playground, and boat ramps capable of launching at both high and low water levels. The surrounding 98,000-acre lake area supports crappie fishing, water sports, hunting, and local hiking and biking trails. Oxford, Mississippi sits 20 minutes away.
Getting there: From I-22 take the Hwy. 7 south exit at Holly Springs, MS. Follow Hwy. 7 south for approximately 18 miles and turn right onto Lafayette County Road 108 at Abbeville, MS. Follow county road 108 for approximately 4.5 miles to Hurricane Landing Recreation Area. From Hwy. 278 in Oxford, MS take the Hwy. 7 north exit and follow Hwy. 7 north for approximately 10.5 miles. Turn left onto Lafayette County Road 108 at Abbeville, MS. Follow county road 108 for approximately 4.5 miles to Hurricane Landing Recreation Area.
