Hurricane Landing Campground sits on the southern shore of Sardis Lake, shaded by native Osage Orange trees. The facility features 15 reservable campsites, each built with water hookups and 50-amp electric service. On-site amenities include a flush restroom and shower building, a picnic shelter, a playground, and a boat ramp providing access to the water. The surrounding 98,000-acre lake area is widely known for crappie, catfish, and bass fishing, while surrounding public lands offer hunting for deer, waterfowl, and small game. Oxford, Mississippi, sits 20 minutes away.
Getting there: From I-22 take the Hwy. 7 south exit at Holly Springs, MS. Follow Hwy. 7 south for approximately 18 miles and turn right onto Lafayette County Road 108 at Abbeville, MS. Follow county road 108 for approximately 4.5 miles to Hurricane Landing Recreation Area. From Hwy. 278 in Oxford, MS take the Hwy. 7 north exit and follow Hwy. 7 north for approximately 10.5 miles. Turn left onto Lafayette County Road 108 at Abbeville, MS. Follow county road 108 for approximately 4.5 miles to Hurricane Landing Recreation Area.
