Setting
North Abutment Campground sits on the north shore of Grenada Lake along the Yalobusha and Skuna Rivers. This modern facility offers 88 RV site pads with parking aprons, 50-amp electrical and water hookups, sewer hookups on sites 2-88, and an amphitheater. A 17-acre internal lake features a swimming beach and fishing for bream, bass, and catfish, while nearby ramps provide access to the main lake for boating and sailing. Located five miles from Grenada, it sits near Civil War landmarks and the Haserway Wetland Demonstration Area, which features a 1.5-mile interpretive trail through bottomland trees.
Getting there: From I-55, take the Grenada exit on highway 8 east through the City of Grenada for approximately three miles then turn left on Scenic Loop 333. Follow Scenic Loop 333 across the dam and take the second road to the right at the North end of the Dam.
