Town Creek Campground sits along the forested banks of Columbus Lake on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, featuring Kennedy Lake on a hill overlooking the main river. The facility provides 100 sites with electric and water hookups, picnic tables, fire rings, lantern posts, and hot showers, plus 10 primitive tent sites along the lake. Visitors come to boat, fish from the dock, use three playgrounds, and hike a nature trail with wooden bridges and a stone waterfall. The towns of Columbus and West Point are a short drive away.

Getting there: From Columbus, Mississippi, take Highway 45 north to the junction with Highway 50. Turn left and follow 50 west past the Tenn-Tom Waterway bridge. Two miles west of the bridge, turn north onto Town Creek Road and follow the signs.
