Setting
Spillway Recreation Area is a day-use park at the outlet of Wappapello Lake where water feeds the St. Francis River. The grounds feature 11 picnic sites, two accessible picnic shelters with large grills and water hookups, an accessible six-stall restroom, a sand volleyball court, a playground, and horseshoe pits. Anglers use the banks for fishing, while a one-lane boat ramp provides river access for boats and kayakers. The 3/4-mile Pine Ridge Natural Trail double-loop explores the surrounding woodland, and the site connects to the Lake View Trailhead.
