Setting
Redman Creek Recreation Area sits along Wappapello Lake in the Ozark foothills. The park offers 109 full-service campsites with 50-amp electric, water, and sewer hookups across its East and West loops, plus six boat-in island campsites. Each loop contains a shower house and playground. Amenities include a visitor center, four picnic shelters, play courts, an accessible fishing pier, a four-lane boat ramp with a dock, and a swimming beach. The multi-use Lake View Trail begins at Redman East, connecting to the broader lake area and nearby Shell Lake Archery Trail.
Getting there: From St. Louis: Take I-55 south to Highway 67. Go south and turn left on State Highway D. Take Highway D south for 20 miles and look for signs. From Poplar Bluff: Take Highway 60 east to Highway T. Take exit toward Wappapello Lake (north). Continue and look for signs.
