Setting
Sutton Bluff Recreation Area sits among short-leaf pines 13 miles from Centerville, along the West Fork of the Black River. The campground features single-family sites and a 32-person group site, all equipped with picnic tables and fire rings with grills. RV sites include electric hookups. Facilities include drinking water, a group pavilion, accessible vault and flush toilets, and hot showers. The adjacent river offers a gravel beach for wading and fishing. The site serves as an access point for 20 miles of designated off-road vehicle trails, with the Karkaghne section of the Ozark Trail less than a mile away.
Getting there: From Centerville, Missouri, travel 3 miles northeast on Highway 21. Take County Road 907 northwest for 7 miles, then turn on County Road 849 and travel south for 3 miles to the campground.
