Setting
Bucksaw Campground sits on a peninsula along the Grand River Arm of Harry S. Truman Lake in western Missouri. The campground offers 146 total sites, including 45 30-amp sites, 70 50-amp sites with water, 14 sites with full hookups, and 17 primitive sites. On-site facilities include flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water, laundry, a dump station, a boat ramp, a playground, and a swim beach. A 1-mile hiking trail starts near the showerhouse, and Bucksaw Point Marina sits adjacent to the park. The reservoir features 8,800 acres of standing timber that provide fish habitat.
Getting there: From Highway 7, take Highway U south for 3 miles. Turn left at SE 803. Stay on the paved road and follow signs into the campground.
