Setting
Thibaut Point Park sits along the shores of Harry S. Truman Lake amid the oak, hickory, and cedar forests of the Ozark Plateau. The campground features 44 sites total, including 39 hookup sites with 50-amp power and water, five primitive sites, a 19-site RV group loop with a pavilion, and a primitive group area with a fire pit. On-site amenities include flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water, a dump station, a boat ramp, a swim beach, a playground, and a basketball goal. Standing timber in the reservoir creates active fish habitat, while the Harry S. Truman Visitor Center overlooks the nearby dam.
Getting there: From Highway 65, take Highway T west for 3 miles. Turn south on Georgetown Ave and follow for a mile, following signs into the park.
