Setting
Shell Knob Recreation Site rests on a heavily wooded bluff overlooking the White River arm of Table Rock Lake. Built on the historic grounds of a 1930s Civilian Conservation Corps camp, the facility functions as a day-use park with a reservable lighted pavilion. On-site facilities include kitchen facilities with a hot/cold water sink, outdoor grills, picnic tables, two parking lots, and accessible vault toilets. Recreational amenities feature a tennis court, sand volleyball court, double horseshoe pits, a playground, and a short walking trail leading to an overlook.
Getting there: From Shell Knob, take Highway 39 to Highway YY. Follow Highway YY 1 mile east to entrance on the right (south) side of the road.
