Tucked into a grove of red and white pines at an elevation of 1,900 feet, this Superior National Forest campground sits 4.5 miles west of Isabella. The layout consists of 11 private sites set close to the water, offering trash collection and restrooms. The adjacent Little Isabella River provides fishing access for brook trout, while the surrounding boreal forest supports nearby canoeing, hunting, and hiking.
Getting there: Little Isabella River Campground is located 4.5 miles west of Isabella, Minnesota. From MN-61, turn on MN-1 at Illgen City. Continue for 4.5 miles west of Isabella the campground entrance.
