Setting
Voyageurs National Park features a vast network of water-based and interior campsites spread across 218,054 acres of northern Minnesota lakes and boreal forest. Frontcountry sites on Rainy, Kabetogama, Namakan, and Sandpoint lakes require watercraft access and feature tent pads, fire rings, picnic tables, bear lockers, and privies. Backcountry sites on interior lakes require a boat trip to a trailhead, a hike, and include an on-site canoe for lake navigation.
