Noma Lake Campground in Chippewa National Forest near Wirt, Minnesota, provides 14 backcountry dispersed campsites with no fees and no services except a vault toilet. The setting features paper birch and white pine forest. A county boat ramp sits at the lake's south end with carry-in access. Fishing platforms and picnic areas are available. The lake offers good fishing for bass, northern pike, and panfish. Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
