Setting
Iron Lake Campground is a small facility located along the banks of Iron Lake in a regenerating forest area burned by the 2007 Ham Lake Fire. The layout consists of a single loop near the water with no electric hookups, offering vault toilets, drinking water, and a garbage canister. Visitors use the site primarily for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing for walleye and northern pike. The lake serves as a direct carry-in access point to the adjacent Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
