Setting
Flour Lake Campground sits on the shore of 352-acre Flour Lake in Minnesota's Superior National Forest, surrounded by mixed hardwoods and pine. Individual campsites accommodate large RVs and include picnic tables and campfire rings, with select sites offering direct lake views. Facilities on site include a public boat ramp, solar-powered drinking water, trash and recycling bins, and accessible vault toilets. Two portage trails on the eastern edge of the lake lead into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, and the half-mile Honeymoon Bluff Trail begins just up the road.
Getting there: From Grand Marais, Minnesota, take Gunflint Trail (County Road 12) 27 miles north, turn right on County Road 22 (previously CR 66) and travel 3 miles to the campground road. Turn right and follow the campground road 1/2 mile to the campground.
